St. Thomas UVI Sports & Fitness Center
December 8-9, 2006
 

Tables, spoons, pens, sculptures, carvings and much more – all made by hand using local woods – will be on display at the first annual ‘Virgin Islands Woodworkers Expo,’ to be held December 8-9, 2006 at the UVI Sports and Fitness Center on St. Thomas. You won’t want to miss this one-of-a-kind event. Some of the finest woodworkers in the territory will display and sell their pieces. Demonstrations will be conducted by master woodworkers, including Avelino Samuel of St. John, Afreekan Southwell of St. Thomas, and Bien Brignoni of St. Croix.

The Expo opens at 1:00 p.m. on December 8th and 10:00 a.m. on December 9th. There will be a special showing for junior and senior high school carpentry, woodworking and art vocational classes at 10:00 a.m. on December 8th. Make plans to be there and get you holiday gifts early!

Admission to all sessions is FREE!
